One thing I realized when I first entered a photography competition was how much you learn about yourself during the process. At first, I was intimidated thinking I was not good enough yet to enter these types of competitions.
I was so wrong! This was not about competing against another artist. It wasn’t until I got my ego out of the way (that was: comparing myself to those who’ve been doing this for years and the negative voices in my head) that I was able to see the value.

It pushed me out of my comfort zone, gave me direction, and developed new skills, I got inspired by other artists and made new friendships.
I’m so glad I had the courage to submit my work, not because I needed someone to tell me I was good enough, but because I love learning, growing, and adding value to others.
I don’t compete to be better than anyone. I do it to learn more about myself, grow as an artist, and give excellent service to my clients!
